New Zealand wins ODI series against Zimbabwe

Rob Nicol, playing in his fifth ODI scored his second century as New Zealand scored a mammoth 372/6 in their fifty overs. Their bowlers backed up the effort of the batsmen as New Zealand won the 3 match ODI series 2-0, with the third ODI to be played on February 9. The toss was the only thing that went right for the Zimbabweans. Losing the toss and put into bat first, Rob Nicol led with 146(134). Martin Guptill and Nicol added 131 runs for the first wicket in 23.4 overs. Jacob Oram who came one down scored a quick 59(28) and Tom Latham scored a quick 48(28). In reply, Zimbabwe managed to score 231/8 in their fifty overs. Oram picked up 3 wickets for 29 runs in his 10 overs.
