Lasith Malinga and Angelo Mathews helped Sri Lanka fought one of the best fights against Australia to win the first ODI by one wicket. Having reduced to 107/8, Malinga and Mathews scored the highest ninth wicket partnership in the history of one day cricket to beat Australia by 1 wicket.
