Deccan Chargers beat Kings XI Punjab by 6 runs

Deccan Chargers survived a late blitz by Irfan Pathan as they beat Kings XI Punjab by 6 runs in a thriller. Batting first, Deccan Chargers got off to a perfect start as their skipper Adam Gilchrist scored 33(12). Deccan Chargers were off to a flying start scoring 43 runs in the first three overs. However, Shalabh Srivatsava got the important wicket of Gilchrist and the run flow slowed down. Andrew Symonds scored an important 53(38) and Deccan Chargers managed to score 170 from 20 overs. In reply, Kings XI Punjab were 5/57 at 10.1 overs. Wickets fell further and they slipped to 104/7 in 16.1 overs. However, Irfan Pathan didn't give up and scored a quick 60(29). Requiring 19 runs in the last over, Irfan Pathan fell in the first ball and Deccan Chargers won the match by 6 runs.
