Royal Challengers Bangalore hold nerve to beat Kolkata Knight Riders

Royal Challengers Bangalore snatched a thrilling victory over Kolkata Knight Riders. Winning the toss, Kolkata Knight Riders chose to bat first and was restricted to a modest 139 runs for the loss of six wickets. Chris Gayle who is struggling to find his form scored 40 runs and MN van Wyk remained unbeaten on 44. Chasing 140 to win, Royal Challengers opener Shreevats Goswami and Jacques Kallis laid a good foundation scoring 69 runs off 67 balls. Part time spinner Brad Hodge got 3 wickets at crucial intervals and it was left to Mark Boucher at the end to finish the match. Needing 10 off the last over, Boucher hit a couple of fours and a couple of two's and won the match for Bangalore with one ball to spare.
