India ended their losing streak overseas and won their first international match in 16 matches. Losing the toss, Australia chose to bat first in the second Twenty20 International. They made three changes, while India chose to field the same side that lost the first Twenty20. Indian fielding was brilliant as they effected four run outs and Australia were all out for just 131 runs. In reply, Gautam Gambhir played a sensible innings and led the Indian side to victory with an unbeaten 56*(60). Ravindra Jadeja who was part of two run outs and picked up a wicket is the man of the match.
