Ian Butler helps New Zealand thrash Scotland in their opener

In a match that is restricted to 7 overs a side due to rain delay, New Zealand beat Scotland by 7 wickets with 6 balls to spare in what looked like a power hitting contest. Batting first, Scotland scored a massive 89 runs in just 7 overs and threatened to pose another upset in the tournament. But New Zealand batted brilliantly and managed to reach the target with an over to spare. Ian Butler who took 3 wickets for just 19 runs was the player of the match.
