In reply, Australia scored 214 and the match was tied. Michael Clarke 67(45) and Cameron White 64*(26) added 82 runs for the fourth wicket. The match went to the Superover eliminator. Tim Southee gave just 6 runs and New Zealand reached the Superover eliminator target with 2 balls to spare.
