Grant Elliott

Grant Elliott is a batsman from New Zealand. In the semi-finals of the 2015 World Cup, Elliot hit the winning runs against South Africa thereby helping New Zealand reach the final of the World Cup for the first time.

Elliott is a native of South Africa. As a kid, he watched South Africa's games at the 1992 World Cup. Elliott revealed that he stayed at home to watch South Africa play Australia and was suspended from cricket and school for a while. He wanted to become a cricketer after watching the 1992 World Cup.

Elliott immigrated to New Zealand in 2001 after three seasons in South Africa. His international career kicked off in 2008. He made his Test debut against England in Napier.
