Dinesh Chandimal is a cricketer of Sri Lanka. He holds the record for the third fastest fifty for Sri Lanka in One Day Internationals.


Dinesh Chandimal scored the second fastest fifty by a Sri Lankan cricketer in One Day Internationals. In the World Cup match against Australia, Chandimal reached fifty in 22 balls. He suffered a hamstring strain and was retired hurt in the match. Chandimal was eventually ruled out from the rest of the World Cup matches.


  • Third Fastest ODI fifty for Sri Lanka: On 8 March 2015 Dinesh Chandimal scored 52(24). He reached fifty in 22 balls to become the third fastest Sri Lanka to reach half century in ODIs.
