AB de Villiers is a right handed batsman and a wicket keeper from South Africa. He occasionally bowls right handed. AB is the current captain of the ODI cricket team of South Africa.

AB de Villiers is known for his stroke play. His classic cover drives, powerful pulls, reverse flicks and inside-out scoops makes him one of the best batsman in the world.

Record for fastest ODI fifty and century

On 18 January 2015, AB de Villiers broke the record for the fastest fifty and century in ODI cricket. In the second ODI against West Indies, AB de Villiers scored the fastest fifty in ODI cricket in 16 deliveries. He went on to score the fastest ODI century in 31 balls. AB de Villiers scored 149(44), hitting 16 sixers and 9 fours in the match.
