England defeats South Africa by 22 runs - 2009 ICC Champions Trophy

England defeated South Africa by 22 runs to advance to the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy 2009. With the loss, South Africa is knocked out of the tournament as well. England won the toss and chose to bat first. Matt Prior is out for the match due to an illness, which means Eoin Morgan will do the glovework. England made 323/8 in their alloted fifty overs. They started off well and lost their first wicket of Joe Denly with 48 on the scoreboard at end of 10 overs. Andrew Strauss also departed soon for 25.
