Trinidad & Tobago displayed another masterful performance and chased a massive target of 175 runs to advance to the final of the Champions League Twenty20 2009. In the second semifinal played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, Cape Cobras won the toss and chose to bat first. Gibbs who had a torrid start to the tournament got back to form and scored 42 runs from 27 balls. Jean-Paul Duminy scored 61 runs in just 40 balls at the end of the innings and Cape Cobras scored 175 runs for the loss of five wickets in their twenty overs. In reply, Trinindad & Tobago got off to a good start scoring 53 runs in the first five overs. However, they lost three quick wickts in the next five overs. Requiring 91 runs from the last 10 overs, Dwayne Bravo and Daren Ganga added 93 unbeaten runs for the fourth wicket and guided their team to victory. Trinidad & Tobago who are yet to be beaten in the tournament, will now play New South Wales Blues in the final.
