New South Wales Blues beat Trinidad & Tobago by 41 runs to win the Champions League Twenty20 2009. Trinidad & Tobago who were unbeaten in the tournament before this match won the toss and chose to field first. New South Wales Blues lost their first six wickets inside 12 overs and Brett Lee delivered when it mattered, with the bat first. Brett Lee scored an invaluable 48 runs from 31 balls and New South Wales managed to score 159 runs in their 20 overs. It wasn't a big target for the Trinidad & Tobago, especially after chasing 178 runs in the semifinal. Brett Lee picked up two wickets in his first two overs and Trinidad & Tobago lost their first four wickets by the end of six overs. Hauritz picked up two wickets in an over and Stuart Clark picked up 3 wickets and New South Wales Blues won the match by 41 runs.
