Delhi Daredevils defeats Wayamba in the Group D match of the Champions League Twenty20 2009 by 50 runs. Delhi Daredevils won the toss and opts to bat first. They managed to score 170/5 in their twenty overs. Virender Sehwag started off really well and scored 66 from 42 balls. After he departed, Dinesh Karthik scored runs aggressively hitting 3 sixes in the penultimate over. He was out for 61 in 41 deliveries. In reply, Wayamba Elevens managed to score only 120 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Dirk Nannes was outstanding picking up 4 wickets for 24 runs. Glenn McGrath picked up 2 wickets for 20 runs in his four overs. In the end, Delhi Daredevils won by 50 runs and they keep their hopes alive for advancing to the next stage in the tournament.
