Victoria Bushrangers defeated Delhi Daredevils by 7 wickets in their opening match in Group D match of the Champions League Twenty20 2009. Gautam Gambhir won the toss and chose to bat first. Brilliant bowling from Victorian Bushrangers restricted Delhi Daredevils to 98/8 in their twenty overs. Clint McKay picked up 3 wickets for 17 runs from 4 overs. In reply, Victoria won the match by 7 wickets with 20 balls to spare. Rob Quiney scored a quick 40 from 33 deliveries.
