Cape Cobras defeated Otago Volts in the Group C match of Champions League Twenty20 2009 and qualified for the Super Eights. Otago Volts won the toss and chose to field first. They scored 193 in their 20 overs for loss of 4 wickets. Captain Andrew Puttick scored a century and remained unbeaten on 104* in 62 balls. Justin Ontong scored a quick cameo of 39 runs in 14 balls at the end of their innings. In reply, Otago Volts are all out for 139 in 17.1 overs.
