Match Preview

The second test match of the Ashes 2009 series between England and Australia will be played at Lord's between July 16-20, 2009. The match will start at 11:00 local time (10:00 GMT) time. England is having few concerns about the availability of their key all-rounder Andrew Flintoff. Flintoff has injured his right knee after falling awkwardly in the first test match at Cardiff. However, coach of England, Andy Flower is optimistic that Flintoff will become available for the second test.

Andy Flower quotes
"He [Bickerstaff] was quite optimistic about him [Flintoff] playing in this game,"
"He won't bowl today, but he'll have a bat and he'll have a bowl tomorrow, and we'll assess it tomorrow. We'll let it settle today."
"I don't think that's something that should distract any of our boys, whether or not Fred's playing,"
"The guys will just get on and prepare, as professional sportsmen do. Frustrating or not, that's how it is, there's no point in getting too het up about it."
