Welcome to day 3 of the First Ashes 2009 test match. Australia were in total control yesterday with Ricky Ponting and Simon Katich reaching hundreds just before the close of play yesterday. Australia now trail by 186 runs in this first test match. It's quite warm today and the current temperature is 16 Celsius. It's partly cloudy though. Floodlights can be used in this series, so bad light won't be a problem.
